All This Bad Blood + Growing Up & Moving On

[The songs] draw on pop culture and literature to a degree. Mainly, though, they touch on that feeling of being at the end of your teens and start of your twenties, and the worries you have as a young adult. It’s quite an odd existence… They’re songs about trying to grow up, looking back to the past and forwards to the future.  - Dan Smith

I kind of want all our videos to have a slightly cinematic feel to them and I kind of wanted to get away as much as possible from doing the typical performance videos. As a bit of a film geek it’s just nice to be remotely involved in the process of making a video and awkwardly I had to be in a couple of them, but hopefully that will change!

“I guess it was, sort of, at a time when I was like a bit; I felt like my life was slightly in stasis and I was a little bit bored, so I guess I kind of equated that to being a frozen corpse and stuck in an ashy position under a burned down city for a long time. You know, just your average thought. Totally normal. And then it became a pop song, which you know is a bit weird.” Dan Smith on Pompeii
