now that i think about it Laura doesn’t really have a best friend. Like sure Danny,LaF, Perry and even Kirsch are good friends of hers but the only one she ever called a best friend was Betty, and that friendship vanished when she basically changed into a whole new Betty and also left her. Like…guys…Laura is literally so alone at Silas. So Danny being there for her like that probably made Laura feel even more shit at that moment. Like “fuck i’m sorry i treated u so shitty last semester but ur so good to me and im sorry and ur such a good friend to me right now.” I am not okay.
